The College of Education in Al-Dawaia – University of Shatrah held a distinctive welcome ceremony for first-year students of the Departments of English Language and Physics, in the presence of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs of the University of Shatrah, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad , under the direct supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Safaa Hussein Ali, Dean of the College, and with the active participation of the College's teaching staff.
The ceremony included a number of diverse activities: the Department of English Language presented a distinctive theatrical performance, in addition to a performance of the Iraqi national anthem in English, with the follow-up of the Head of Department, Lect. Dr. Tahseen Ali Ahmed, and under the supervision of the Department Rapporteur, Asst. Lect. Ali Kareem Fadhala.
The ceremony also witnessed the opening of the Department of Physics laboratories, and a set of applied scientific experiments, under the supervision and follow-up of the Head of Department, Lect. Dr. Ali Kadhim Wadai , andthe Department Rapporteur, Lect. Dr. Dhiaa Flaih Hassan.
These activities came as part of the College of Education's keenness to support scientific and cultural activities, and to strengthen the spirit of creativity and university belonging among its students, contributing to building a well-rounded academic personality.
The ceremony also witnessed the honouring of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad, by the Dean of the College of Education, in appreciation of his blessed efforts and continuous support for scientific and academic activities at the University.
In conclusion, the College of Education in Al-Dawaia extends its thanks and appreciation to the honourable professors, the teaching staff and our dear students for their efforts and active participation in the success of this ceremony.
