The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Nabil Mahdi Abd, took part in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Veterinary Medicine, held at the University of Diyala on the morning of Wednesday, 29 October 2025.
The meeting was attended by the deans of colleges of veterinary medicine from various Iraqi universities, and a number of important topics were discussed aimed at developing veterinary education, unifying academic curricula, and updating accreditation and quality assurance mechanisms, in line with global scientific developments in the fields of veterinary medicine and public health.
The participants also stressed the importance of strengthening joint scientific and research cooperation among colleges of veterinary medicine in Iraq, and of working to qualify a generation of veterinarians capable of contributing effectively to protecting livestock resources and supporting public health.
