Scientific Assistant to the President of University of Shatrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Fadel Mohsen Hamad, participated in the meeting of the Academic Committee emanating from the Permanent National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance, representing Al-Shatra University and the southern region, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, based on the official order issued by the Office of the Prime Minister of Iraq.
The committee is concerned with preparing scientific and practical proposals and solutions to negative phenomena affecting society, such as suicide, drug abuse, and digital addiction, by coordinating efforts between relevant ministries, universities, and institutions.
During the meeting, Dr. Fadel Mohsen Hamad presented a set of constructive proposals that were well received by the committee members, speaking about University of Sharah's strategy in the field of community awareness for the current academic year, which aims to involve students and professors in behavioral, health, and psychological education programs, thereby promoting the values of awareness and social responsibility.
The scientific assistant emphasized that University of Shatrah continues to play a leading role in serving the community through its academic and educational initiatives that contribute to addressing community challenges and establishing a culture of positivity and national belonging.
