The President of the University of Shatrah, Professor Dr. Bassem Abdul Hussein Al-Ghazi, received in his office today, Sunday, July 12, 2026, a member of the Dhi Qar Governorate Council, Engineer Rawasi Karim Al-Jabri, within the framework of enhancing communication and joint coordination between the university and the local government.
During the meeting, a number of topics of common interest were discussed, most notably ways to support students, identify their needs, and work to overcome the difficulties they face in a way that contributes to providing an appropriate university environment that encourages success and creativity.
The two sides also discussed the importance of extending bridges of cooperation between the University of Shatrah and the Dhi Qar Governorate Council, in a way that serves the educational process and enhances the implementation of joint initiatives and projects that contribute to the development of university infrastructure and services, in addition to supporting the scientific, cultural and community activities provided by the university.
Mr. President of the University stressed the University of Shatrah’s keenness to be open and cooperate with various government institutions, in order to achieve the public interest and enhance the university’s role in serving society, praising the role played by the Dhi Qar Governorate Council in supporting the higher education sector.
For her part, Engineer Rawasi Karim Al-Jabri expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the University Presidency in improving the academic and service situation, stressing her readiness to support initiatives that contribute to serving students and developing the university environment, in line with the aspirations of the people of the governorate.
